Deposit

Due to the number of customers neglecting to cancel their bookings we do not accept bookings without a deposit. This may be paid by bank transfer, cheque or cash. The deposit amount is dependent on the number of cats booked in for boarding with Cats Whiskers. For Christmas bookings the deposit payable will be for the minimum boarding time.

Deposits not paid within 7 days of booking will result in the booking being cancelled.

Vaccinations

All cats must be immunised against Feline Respiratory Disease (Cat Flu) and Feline Enteritis. The course of vaccinations must have been completed at least 4 weeks before the first date of boarding or in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications. Current vaccination certificates must be produced for each pet upon arrival and remain with us for the duration of your cats stay.

We are unable to accept any cat without a vaccination certificate at any time.
We regret we are unable to accommodate males over the age of 6 months that have not been neutered.

Prior to boarding we ask that your cat/s have been treated for fleas and wormed regularly. Cats that are seen by us to have fleas or worms will be treated and a charge will be made for treatment.

Only cats from the same family may share boarding accommodation.

Fees

Fees are charged for days of arrival and departure. A full day is charged for both to allow for essential cleaning and hygiene preparation of the chalet. Prices are fully inclusive of veterinary insurance, heating and feeding. Should we find that your cat requires a more intensive & time consuming care & cleaning routine on a regular basis, we reserve the right to charge an additional daily fee to cover this service.

All fees are payable in full on collection by cash, cheque (over £25) or bank transfer a full 24 hours beforehand. Any animal not delivered or collected within our stated opening hours will be subject to a charge of one extra day's boarding (even if during the day). All cats are boarded as agreed at the time of booking and as shown on our booking charts. Customers collecting cats earlier than the agreed date will be charged for the full booking period.

Feeding

We will prepare the food your cat eats at home if it is on our stock list. If on a special diet that we cannot supply, we are happy to feed food brought in by you at no extra charge. We feed at breakfast and at tea time. If your cat is elderly or a kitten and would like to be fed more often, please let us know and we will oblige. We like to give our guests treats so please let us know if anyone is on a diet!

Health & Medication

Please advise us in advance of any known ailments and medication. Cats will be accepted for boarding at our discretion. Write down the dose, frequency and name of any medication to avoid any confusion when reading labels and bring adequate medication for the duration of the booking, with some to spare.

If your cat is not already insured, insurance is included to cover any vets' fees up to a pre-set limit incurred during your pet's stay with us. This insurance will not cover pre-existing conditions. Any vets' fees incurred for treatment of pre-existing conditions must be settled at the time of collection.

Emergencies

In case of emergencies, we require the name and address of your own vet, and a contact number for a friend or family member should advice be required. In the event of any cat requiring veterinary treatment, we will use Belmont Veterinary Centre & follow the advice of the vet.

We charge a cancellation fee. Please help us to avoid this by advising us as soon as possible of any change in plans. Less than 5 full days notice by telephone of changes will result in the deposit being forfeited. This also applies to provisional bookings. If you cancel your booking because you have not had your cat fully vaccinated in good time you will lose your deposit. If we cannot board your cat because you do not produce a valid & up to date vaccination certificate at the time of boarding, for whatever reason, you will be charged for the entire booking.
We reserve the right to amend our prices and terms and conditions at any time as considered necessary.
